From that point on he began focusing on his basketball training and quit his dreams of becoming a football player.

High School

Mac attended Gate City High School where his height was about 5 feet 10 inches. In school, he got a chance to dunk for the very first time and since then he became an internet phenomenon.

As a junior, he wound up scoring a career-high 64 points during a defeat to Dan River High School at the Virginia High School League Region 2A West tournament which was held in February 2017. It became the high school history’s top-scoring performance.

In December 2017, Mac made his senior debut when he scored 47 points in a win over Lee High School.
